Prima Pro is a solvent based blocking primer for the masking and blocking of unknown and heavy stains.

It can be used on a wide variety of internal surfaces, as well as external surfaces if sheltered by roofing.

Why should I use Prima Pro?

Prima pro is a premium primer for use on a wide range of surfaces such as plaster, cement, brick, wood, aluminium, plastic, PVC and more. It adheres to all smooth surfaces eliminating the need to sand.

Once applied, simply leave to dry before applying a finishing coat. Prima Pro will improve the performance of the finish which will make application easier.

You can also apply Prima Pro to very lightly rusted surfaces as an anti-corrosion primer.

Ideal uses for Prima Pro

Block stains from damage caused by water, fire, smoke and nicotine
Hide stains and marks from food, drink, pens and pencils
Use internally on a wide variety of surfaces
Use underneath a finish to allow for a smoother and easier application
Once applied, Prima Pro prevents staining of the finish coat

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of all dust, grease, oil, wax, excessive chalky material and other surface contamination, which may affect adhesion.

Remove all loose and flaking material back to a sound surface by sanding and scraping. Wash surface with Soapclean or other suitable cleaning agent, not washing-up detergent.

Treat and remove any mould with a suitable mould killer. Remove as much of the stain as possible by washing, sanding scraping etc.

Prime porous surfaces with Prima Pro diluted 5% with white spirit.

Application

Use as is – do not thin
Stir well before and during use
Apply 1 or 2 coats of Prima Pro depending on the severity of the stain
Allow to dry

Clean Up

Clean all tools and equipment with white spirits while still wet. If allowed to dry, remove with paint stripper.

Things to Remember

Cover and protect everything you do not wish to coat
Apply between 5°C (41°F) and 30°C (86°F) RH <65%
Do not apply to hot surfaces
Ensure room is well ventilated
